My name is Keir, and I’m a book reviewer.
Also, as of today-the day Booklist Online goes live-I’m a blogger. I hope my mom isn’t reading this. I know she had bigger plans for her son. But sometimes life doesn’t go exactly as planned. So, mom? I’m a blogger. Deal with it.
What will this blog be about? Books and book reviewing. More about that very soon. First, I look forward to trying your patience with revelations about my early awakenings as a book person, with detail-packed anecdotes about the taunting I received on the playground when, a third-grader, I lugged around a jam-stained copy of Crime and Punishment.
Just kidding.
Seriously, the past few weeks have been a blur of cramped fingers and bad diet as we’ve raced to get Booklist Online, well, online. There hasn’t been much time to think about the whole content side of things. But that’s about to change. Very soon. So please, look around the site, send us e-mail, and visit again soon.
Coming tomorrow: The book reviewer-cum-blogger lovingly recreates his playground origins as a literary critic.

Congratulations to Keir and the entire Booklist Online staff. From what I’ve seen of it, BOL looks fabulous! I truly think it will be a revolutionary! Now I think you should have a drink and get some rest.
