I heard a very fine interview of Eggers and Mr. Deng on a WNYC public radio podcast (downloadable on demand at http://www.wnyc.org/shows/lopate/episodes/2006/10/17) the other day, and am very interested in reading the book, based on that and this review.

I had the opportunity to hear Eggers and Deng read from this book recently at a fundraising event for Eggers' child literacy program. I can't wait until it is published. I know as I read it I will hear Deng's lilting voice. Thanks for your review.
