Thanks for the mention, Keir. A town car would be nice - but I'd rather they rent a fleet of towncars and pick up every librarian and bookseller in the region and deliver them to a secret location for a private book viewing. How's that for a pre-pub tour?

Don't feel bad, Greg. I've seen my name spelled so many different ways that sometimes it doesn't look right to me even when it's right.

Thanks for the mention, Keir. It was kind of you.

2k7 is turning into an interesting experience.

And, of course, I feel like I should spell my name Carei to make up for Greg. Poor Greg.

Thank you again.

I love that Powers' quote you posted. I can't imagine having my brain chemistry so altered, but what a dream.

A town car? My kids would badger me for the keys. I'd be happy with a reliable junker.

Thank you for spotlighting our group.
My fabulous publisher (Bloomsbury) handles promotion with finesse, and I have a strong background in advertising, so those weren't my concerns when I joined the Classof2k7.
I joined to share resources and rub elbows with other debut authors.
It can be lonely being the first on your block to get a kids' book published.

I wanted to mention that we are a one-stop shop for librarians, booksellers, and teachers looking for the newest and freshest voices in children's literature. There are forty of us, divided by genre, area, launch dates, etc., which will make it very easy for those folks to find what might interest them.

Thanks, Kier. A town car would be very cool.

I enjoyed Booklist's "Top 10 First Novels for Youth" list--looks like the Class of 2k6 has been doing well for themselves, too. :D
