Overall Best Book

Mister Pip, by Lloyd Jones (Penguin)

Overall Best First Book

Vandal Love, by D.Y. Béchard (Doubleday)

Messrs. Jones and Béchard are from New Zealand and Canada, respectively. How Commonwealth is that?
