As for my own opinion on the subject, I think that the most dangerous ideas are the ones we&#039;re not allowed to discuss openly. Sometimes ALA has been criticized for continuing to call them &quot;Banned Books&quot; when in fact many the books have only been challenged or have become the subjects of debate, but anytime anyone wants to pull a book from a public shelf, that&#039;s a dangerous moment. The only person who should decide whether a book is appropriate for you to read is you. (And in a few extreme cases, your parents.)
