What I Looked Like at My Summer Conference
Posted by: Keir Graff
While I was reading at the LIVE! @ your library Reading Stage in Anaheim, out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone taking my picture. (And this despite the strict “no paparazzi” clause in my contract.) Although the picture-taker lacked the multi-pocketed safari vest and pants that are the uniform of the working photographer, I assumed he was there on official capacity.
As it turns out, the photo was for the Wikipedia article he was writing. As a Wikipedia enthusiast–and documented defender of same–I am thrilled and honored. (By my inclusion, not by the way I look in the photo.) Yes, it’s probably marked for destruction by the deletionists, but I’ll enjoy it while I can.
I think it’s considered bad form to edit one’s own article, but if there are any Wikipedians out there with a moment to spare, my pseudonymous first novel (missing from the article) is Cold Lessons. And there is a host of other information at my eponymous URL.
And that’s the last of the “summer conference” headlines.
Probably.
