(”‘Breaking Dawn’ Breaks Hachette Records,” by Jim Milliot, Publishers Weekly):
It didn’t hit Harry Potter numbers, but Hachette Book Group USA estimated that it sold 1.3 million copies of Breaking Dawn, on August 2, the day the eagerly awaited final novel in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga was released.
Also from the Department of That Was Fast, Ilene Cooper’s review of Breaking Dawn has just been published on Booklist Online–awfully quick work for a book that went on sale Friday at midnight. (Usually publishers send us everything months in advance, but when they want to build the hype, they don’t.)
