Obama to Vampires: The ‘Galaxy’ is Mine

The Guardian announced the Galaxy British Book Awards shortlist under the fantastic headline (which I’ve plagiarized from Keir who stole it from the Guardian) Obama battles vampires for Galaxy Prize. The shortlist pits The Audacity of Hope against Stephanie Meyer’s final installment in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn. I think the studio execs should just go ahead and make the movie. I can see the poster now–Obama delivering Chuck Norris-style justice to the side of some vampire’s face.
Sigh.
Where was I? Oh, yeah. Since there are about nine to forty different categories (each with their own sponsor!) and about five nominees in each, I’ll just give you the highlights:
