		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m not sure if I&#039;ve ever read any other author who filled his books with such a sense of joie de vivre, in the most genuine way. His characters stay with you, his world becomes your world. Despite the fact that almost all his books take place in or around his made-up village of Stay More, you never quite know what he&#039;s going to do next. He was a true original. He deserved to be far, far better known and I grieve that it never happened during his life time. Anyone who is curious to read his books (and they should be!) would be advised to begin with &#039;The Architecture of the Arkansas Ozarks&#039; or &#039;The Choiring of the Trees&#039; which I think are two of his masterpieces (although &#039;With&#039; is right up there with them). All his books are wonderful, truly, but those would be the ones I&#039;d recommend to begin with.]]></description>
