A New National Ambassador

What wonderful news that Katherine Paterson is the new National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. While she doesn’t have the goofy grin or wise-cracking style of her predecessor, Jon Scieszka, her cred goes a long way, starting with the amazing Bridge to Terabithia and on to her most recent novel, Day of the Pelican. And I love her platform: “Read for Your Life.”
