abigail-and-john Three books are in line to receive the $50,000 Washington Book Prize:

Plain, Honest Men: The Making of the American Constitution, by Richard Beeman

The Founding Fathers Reconsidered, by R.B. Bernstein

Abigail & John: Portrait of A Marriage, by Edith B. Gelles

The winner will be announced May 20th.
