2010 Indies Choice Book Award Finalists Announced

Yesterday the American Bookseller’s Association announced their 2010 Indies Choice Book Award finalists. It includes A. S. Byatt’s oft short-listed title The Children’s Book. View the complete list of finalists here.

Wood Wins American History Book Prize

The New York Times reports that Brown Professor Gordon S. Wood received the $50,000 American History Book prize for Empire of Liberty: A History of the Early Republic, 1789-1815. In addition to the cash he gets a nifty title: American Historian Laureate.
