You’re right, The Big Lebowski is one of the Coens’ more notable flicks. Oddly enough, I haven’t seen it (although I’ve seen nearly everything else they’ve done). It started as a weird sort of in-joke with a friend — “you’re a Coens fan and you haven’t seen The Big Lebowski?” or “hey, The Big Lebowski is on TV tonight, don’t forget not to watch it” — and I somehow haven’t got around to it. I probably should rectify that.
