		<description><![CDATA[Various internet sources seem to indicate the movie was filmed (at least in part) in New Mexico and Texas. Which is much better than California. 

But, hey, with today&#039;s CGI they could film the movie in my backyard -- Nova Scotia -- and make it look like Arkansas. (Or Mars, for that matter.)

I definitely understand your point, but I think we can trust the Coens to make sure the movie looks geographically accurate.]]></description>

Smith AR and son of a Federal Marshall whose assignment was the Indian Territory (both True Grit settings), laughed himself sick about the old John Wayne version, which was clearly shot in California mountains - not the true landscape.
