Howard Jacobson Wins Man Booker

jacobsonmanbookerThe Finkler Question beat out early favorites The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet, by David Mitchell, and Tom McCarthy’s C for the £50,000 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. Jacobson, a self-described “Jewish Jane Austen,” gave his lively acceptance speech last night at London’s Guildhall. For more on Jacobson’s surprise victory visit the Man Booker website.
