This week’s roundup has been dominated by the mystery prizes awarded at BoucherCon by the Bay last week.

In addition to the Derringers and the Barry and Macavity award announcements, there were some big winners for the Anthony awards:

Talking About Detective Fiction, by P.D. James

In other news, J.K. Rowling now has more money and acclaim thanks to the 500,000 kroner ($93,610 US) Hans Christian Andersen Literary Prize. The award honors “a person who can be compared with Andersen”. Read more about her win here.
