Reading the Screen: David Baldacci on TV?
Posted by: David Pitt

According to this story at Digital Spy, David Baldacci’s novels featuring Secret Service agents turned private investigators Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are being turned into a television series, with NCIS’ Shane Brennan producing.

This could be a good show, provided they spend a goodly amount of time on the characters. The King/Maxwell novels vary wildly in quality — the best of them is 2009′s First Family, the worst this year’s The Sixth Man but a key element to them all is the rather complex relationship between Sean and Michelle. Lose that, and you’d might as well not bother.

What do you think? Is the series a good idea?
