Covering book awards is sometimes like trying to find a snack in the pantry after not visiting the grocery store for a few weeks. But this month has been a trip-to-Costco-with-a-minivan kind of month for book awards. From the Pulitzer, to the Orion Book Awards, to short-list announcements for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the RITA Awards, and the Hugo Awards, we’ve got a fully stocked larder of exceptional books to read. So, crack open a brand new super-sized barrel of pretzel nuggets and dig in to these award winners!

The Indies Choice Awards, given to titles “reflecting the spirit of independent bookstores nationwide”, and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards, “which reflect the playful, well-paced language, the engaging themes, and the universal appeal to a wide range of ages embodied by E.B.
