Book Trailer Thursday: Cartooning
Posted by: Annie Bostrom

If you’re like me, you’ve made a long list of Summer Projects that, come Labor Day, will be a short list of Summer, mostly TV-related, Accomplishments. (How’s that herb garden? And all those rare extracts you were going to make from scratch?) Here’s something you can add to that list and immediately cross off–a neat old trick–following New Yorker cartoonist Ivan Brunetti’s simple instructions in the vintage (February, 2011) trailer for Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice: Make a short-cute-funny-life-affirming-profound one-page comic strip.

Take the boost in your to-do list, but don’t forget to take it easy; watching all 60 episodes of The Wire will require much energy and concentration.
