Here’s a bit about Laura:
She heads up the youth section of Booklist and also edits Book Links. Basically this means she runs around the office like a crazy person hoping all the deadlines are being met.
Before coming to ALA, she was an editor at Carus Publishing working on Front Street/Cricket Books and Cricket and Spider magazines. Before that, she worked at Farrar, Straus and Giroux in the Books for Young Readers department. A graduate of the University of Iowa (English and Russian majors rule!), she attended the Radcliffe Publishing Course back when it was in Cambridge.
When she’s not reading children’s and YA books, she’s hanging out with her kids, playing the piano, or experimenting in the kitchen.
